Three from Assam found dead in Meghalaya, murder suspected

Guwahati: Charred bodies of three men from Assam were found in East Garo Hills in Meghalaya on Wednesday morning.

As per reports, the bodies were found in Wageasi of East Garo Hills under mysterious circumstances.

The police have suspected that the men may have been murdered by miscreants.

An investigation has been initiated by the police to track what exactly happened.

The vehicle the men were travelling in was also found next to the charred bodies.

All the deceased were residents of Goalpara in Assam.

They were identified as Jamar Ali and Nur Mohammed, residents of Goalpara.

However, the third person is yet to be identified, the police said.

The police said that all possible angles are being investigated. 

The motive behind the possible murder is also being looked out for.
