GUWAHATI: Assam police are actively pursuing four suspects accused of abducting and gang-raping a 15-year-old girl in a moving car in Cachar district.

This heinous incident, which occurred on February 15, only came to light when the victim's family reported it to the authorities several days later.

“One of the perpetrators, a 30-year-old married man, was acquainted with the girl,” stated an Assam police official.

“He had recently purchased the vehicle and lured the girl to meet him on the evening of February 15. Upon her arrival, they forcibly took her into the vehicle and committed the crime,” the official said.
