Meghalaya sports minister announces cricket stadium in Ri Bhoi

SHILLONG: Meghalaya sports minister Shakliar Warjri, on Friday (May 17), announced plans for a major cricket stadium in Ri Bhoi district.

Warjri emphasized the Meghalaya government's dedication to promoting cricket and ensuring the availability of state-of-the-art facilities for the sport.

Additionally, the Meghalaya minister provided an update on the renovation of the JN Stadium in Shillong, which is expected to be completed by December 2024.

Responding to the increasing demand for sports infrastructure in Shillong City, Warjri assured that the Meghalaya government is actively seeking solutions to meet this need.
