Shillong: In a bid to enhance road safety and reduce traffic violations, the Eastern West Khasi Hills police in Meghalaya have announced a fresh comprehensive enforcement campaign.

The initiative aims to ensure that motorists adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

These regulations include wearing helmets and refraining from using unauthorized accessories such as black-tinted films, blinkers, and flashlights.

Regular patrols and checkpoints will be conducted throughout the district to enforce compliance.

Offenders will face strict penalties as per the law, a police official said. The police have also urged vehicle owners and drivers to cooperate and comply with traffic rules to avoid inconvenience and contribute to the safety and well-being of all road users.
