Manipur: Security forces apprehend UNLF-K cadre near Myanmar border

Imphal: Security forces apprehended a suspected cadre of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF-K) near the Manipur-Myanmar border on Wednesday.

Acting on intelligence, Assam Rifles troops laid an ambush near Namlee Market in Kamjong district and intercepted the individual.

"The person, upon interrogation, revealed his association with the UNLF-K", confirmed an official.

He has been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and legal proceedings.

Officials said that a search for tracing more of the person's accomplices is being conducted.
