Assam: Three arrested with heroin worth Rs 10 crore in Guwahati

Guwahati: At least three persons were nabbed by the police from Beltola in Guwahati, Assam with a huge consignment of suspected heroin.

As per sources, the Special Task Force of the Assam Police carried out an operation based on specific inputs.

The STF carried out the operation at the Rupkonwar Path.

During the operation, they nabbed three suspected persons.

The accused were identified as Suman Talukdar (32), Audulomi Goyari (35)and Nersing Basumatary (57).

The police said of the three, Talukdar is a resident of Tinsukia, Goyari of Udalguri and Basumatary is Dhemaji.

On searching them, the police found a large pack of suspected heroin weighing almost a kilogram.

On further checking, it was found that the suspected heroin was worth Rs 10 crore.

An investigation has been initiated.
