Assam: Chainsnatchers on bike rob woman in Guwahati

Guwahati: A woman in Azara on the outskirts of Guwahati, Assam was allegedly robbed while on a morning walk on Saturday morning.

The woman was identified as Geeta Das, a resident of Baruahpara in Azara, Guwahati.

She told the media that she was attacked by chain snatchers while on her morning walk.

Two unidentified men attacked her and stole her gold chain.

The incident was captured on CCTV.

Das following the incident reported the crime to the Azara police station and filed an FIR.

One of the attacker's mobile phones fell on the road, which Das handed over to the police as evidence, a police official said.

An investigation is being carried out, the police said.
