KOHIMA: On the eve of polling for Lok Sabha elections in Nagaland, the Eastern Nagaland People's Organization (ENPO) announced an indefinite total shutdown across Eastern Nagaland region.

The indefinite shutdown called by the ENPO in Eastern Nagaland region will be effective from 6:00 PM of Thursday (April 18).

In response to the perceived failure of the government to fulfil its promises on the Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) issue, ENPO, along with other tribal bodies, the Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organisation (ENWO), and the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF), urged the Eastern Nagaland Legislative Union (ENLU) and the public to respect their decision and abstain from voting in the Lok Sabha elections.
