Yogendra Yadav targeted in Maharashtra: BJA condemns attack
Guwahati: A meeting by Bharat Jodo Abhiyaan (BJA) was disrupted in Akola, Maharashtra, on Monday when a group of individuals, allegedly affiliated with the Prakash Ambedkar group, stormed the venue and prevented Yogendra Yadav from addressing the gathering.
A statement released today by the Bharat Jodo Abhiyaan (BJA) strongly condemned the attack, calling it a blatant assault on freedom of expression.
The statement was issued by Ajit Kumar Bhuyan, president, Axom Nagarik Samaj, Paresh Malakar, Convenor, BJA Assam.
The organization expressed its solidarity with Yadav and his team and urged the Maharashtra Police to swiftly apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The BJA reiterated its commitment to upholding constitutional values and protecting democratic institutions in India, emphasizing that such cowardly acts will not deter its mission.
