Assam: Two nabbed in Bongaigaon with suspected heroin worth lakhs
Guwahati: A police team arrested a couple with a suspected consignment of heroin in Bongaigaon, Assam.
According to reports, the police team based on inputs intercepted a motorcycle on State Highway 2 at Deohati.
During the operation, the police arrested two individuals identified as Zahirul Haque and one woman.

The suspects were allegedly transporting a substantial quantity of heroin, concealed in three soap boxes.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the consignment was intended for distribution in the area.

The items were reportedly being taken to Abhayapuri Deohati with the intention of peddling.
The seized substance, weighing 119 grams, is believed to be heroin worth lakhs.
Further interrogation and investigation are underway.
