Kokrajhar: A wave of protests swept through Kokrajhar, Assam on Sunday as students' unions condemned Pritam De Roy, a manager of Domino's Pizza in the town, for his alleged derogatory comments against employees.

The unrest was sparked by De Roy's reported remarks, where he referred to his colleagues with derogatory terms.

A formal complaint was lodged at the Kokrajhar Sadar Police Station, seeking De Roy's arrest.

However, he allegedly remains on the run, evading capture.

An ABSU leader denounced De Roy's behaviour, revealing that he had scolded Bodo employees, used inappropriate language, and made threats against them. "His remarks were not only disrespectful but also detrimental to societal harmony," the leader said. "We are proud Indians, and our President is a tribal. De Roy's statements are an attempt to harm our community's peace and unity."
