Assam police seize Ganja worth Rs 6 crore, two arrested
GUWAHATI: Police in Kokrajhar district of Assam, have intercepted a significant ganja consignment valued at approximately Rs 6 crore.
The seizure took place on Thursday night (February 22) when Assam police intercepted a 10-wheeler truck with registration number WB 23C 5242 at Srirampur in Gossaigaon, Kokrajhar district.
Two individuals, identified as Rahul Kumar and Ravi Kumar, both truck drivers from Bihar, were apprehended in connection with the case.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on the truck, leading to the discovery of ganja hidden in a concealed compartment.

According to Assam police, the ganja was destined to be transported from Guwahati to Patna in Bihar.
The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter.
