Assam planning to introduce Social Media Influencer Bill
Guwahati: In what could be seen as an attempt to gain more traction for the incumbent government, Assam is planning to introduce a Social Media Influencer Bill which would help increase content outreach of different government policies and benefits.
The Assam government is planning to introduce ‘paid advertisements’ which would be circulated in the form of content on various social media influencers' pages.
The advantage for the Assam government in coming up with such a bill will be that it would ensure better reach of the promoted content.
Moreover, the content will also be available on numerous social media platforms and also attract varied audiences in different age groups.
According to reports, the discussion around the bill will happen soon during the upcoming cabinet meetings.
