Assam: Massive fire guts business establishments in Guwahati

Guwahati: At least two shops were destroyed in a fire that broke out in the Noonmati area of Guwahati, Assam on Saturday morning.

The blaze, reportedly, was caused by a short circuit, originating from a shop near the Shiv Temple in the locality.

At least three fire tenders were deployed at the scene and to bring the fire under control.

While, the damage was reported to be in lakhs of rupees, there were no reports of injuries or casualties.

An investigation has been initiated into the issue.
