Assam: Man arrested for uploading minor's video to adult website in Dhubri

Guwahati: A man has been arrested by the police in Dhubri, Assam for allegedly uploading an indecent video of a minor on an adult website.

According to reports, Khairul Islam (25) was apprehended based on a suo moto case.

He is a resident of Islamnagar, Dhubri.

The video, recorded three to four years ago, involved a victim who is now eight years old, the police said.

The police's cyber cell unit discovered the video and took suo motu action, leading to Islam's arrest.

He has been charged under the POCSO Act and Juvenile Justice Act and remanded to police custody for three days.

The investigation is being carried out further, said an official.
