Assam: Man arrested for molesting minor in Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: A man in Karbi Anglong, Assam was arrested by the police for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl on Saturday.

According to sources, the accused has been identified as Dayamoi Nath, a resident of Koilajan in Dillai, Karbi Anglong.

He allegedly molested the girl when she was alone in her home, reports stated.

Her parents approached the police after the minor told them about the incident.

Following a formal complaint, the police arrested the accused from his house.

It was also accused that Nath tried to bribe the family and asked them to keep silence on the issue.

The police are further investigating the case.

The minor is currently under medical attention and is stable, reports said.
