Assam Agricultural University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Technical Assistant on contractual basis in the GoA funded project on ““GIS mapping of char areas of Assam using geospatial Techniques for planning strategies of crop management and improving livelihood security.” Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sectorand to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level.

Qualification :

Essential : Bachelor’s degree in any branch of science

Desirable :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
2. Knowledge of Remote sensing and GIS
3. Knowledge of computer application

Remuneration : Rs.15,000/- fixed per month

Age limit : 35 yrs (with relaxations as per existing rules)

Selection Procedure :

Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 7th October 2024 at 11 AM in Department of Soil Science, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat-785013

How to apply :

Candidates may submit application on plain paper enclosing the bio-data mentioning qualification and experiences, along with self attested copies of Certificate/ Marksheet towards having passed B.Sc. degree and one passport size photo.

The original copies are also required to be produced at the time of interview.
