Haflong: A group of enthusiastic travelers from Assam's Dima Hasao district embarked on a transformative journey to the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, seeking inspiration and knowledge from the renowned Ziro Music Festival.

The expedition, spearheaded by the NC Hill Autonomous Council CEM, Debolal Gorlosa, brought together a diverse group of individuals, including government officials, tourism management committee members, and passionate locals.

The aim was to gain valuable insights into festival organization, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism practices.

The journey to Ziro was a scenic adventure, passing through the vibrant towns of Nagaon, Tezpur, Itanagar, and Naharlagun. The group arrived in time to immerse themselves in the festival's vibrant atmosphere, witnessing the captivating performances of talented musicians from around the world.

Karan Daulagupu, a member of the tour, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Ziro. He emphasized the immense potential for tourism in Dima Hasao, highlighting the district's rich cultural heritage, diverse landscapes, and the potential for rural tourism initiatives.

"Our district is a treasure trove of cultural diversity, with 13 tribal and 6 non-tribal communities spread across 500 villages. By promoting rural tourism, we can offer visitors unique experiences, showcasing our traditions, cuisine, and way of life," Daulagupu explained.

Biswajyoti Hojai, a renowned tourist guide, shared his enthusiasm for Dima Hasao's tourism potential. He highlighted the district's stunning natural attractions, such as Sielkal Peak, Panimur Falls, and Hempeupet Peak, and emphasized the importance of engaging local communities in tourism development.

Nestled amidst the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, the annual Ziro Music Festival is a celebration of music, culture, and nature.

The festival provided a valuable platform for the Dima Hasao team to witness firsthand the successful implementation of sustainable tourism practices.

The festival's commitment to environmental conservation, local empowerment, and cultural preservation resonated deeply with the visitors.

As the tour concluded, the team returned to Dima Hasao with a renewed sense of purpose and a wealth of knowledge.
