3 Bangladeshi nationals, 4 touts nabbed in Tripura

Agartala: In a series of coordinated operations over the past 24 hours, security agencies in Tripura have apprehended seven individuals, including three Bangladeshi nationals and four Indian touts.

BSF troops on Wednesday detained two Bangladeshi nationals near the Rahimpur Border Outpost in Sepahijala district as they attempted to enter India illegally.

Following their arrest, a joint operation with Tripura Police led to the capture of an Indian tout involved in aiding their infiltration.

In another operation on the night of October 17, BSF personnel apprehended a Bangladeshi national near the Mohanpur BOP in West Tripura district.

Additionally, two intelligence-driven operations involving the GRP Agartala and Tripura Police resulted in the arrest of three more Indian touts facilitating illegal cross-border movements.

A BSF official stated that the force has heightened vigilance along the Tripura border and is intensifying efforts to dismantle the tout networks operating in the region.
