Guwahati: The Union Ministry of Tourism will celebrate this year’s World Tourism Day with the theme ‘Tourism and Peace’ highlighting the crucial role of tourism in fostering development and global harmony.

The celebrations will be held at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday (September 27, 2024).

Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

Awards to the Best Tourism Village winners will be given during the celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan.

World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27.

Founded by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), the day is marked to promote the importance of tourism and recognises it as an essential pillar of development.
