Guwahati: Northeast India is set to experience a spell of widespread snow and rain, with two western disturbances bringing their influence to bear.

The first, a trough in the middle troposphere, stretches along 60°E north of 30°N, while the second, a cyclonic circulation, lies over north Pakistan and its vicinity in lower levels.
