Guwahati: The Garoland State Movement Committee (GSMC) has expressed strong objections to the Meghalaya Public Service Commission's (MPSC) declaration of the Meghalaya Police Service (MPS) Mains Examination results and the upcoming personal interview scheduled for July 25.

The GSMC claims that the commission has only selected 27 candidates for the interview, despite there being 17 vacant posts and 42.5 candidates eligible for the next round.

The committee has raised several concerns regarding anomalies in the recruitment process, including the missing 15.5 candidates who should have been included in the interview list.

They also demanded that the MPSC display the application numbers, roll numbers, names, categories, and other relevant details of all candidates.

Furthermore, the GSMC is calling for the commission to adhere to the 1:2.5 ratio principle, as decided on July 28, 2017, and to postpone the personal interview scheduled for August 20 and 21.

They are also demanding that all 42.5 eligible candidates be called for the interview, citing concerns over the transparency and fairness of the recruitment process.
