SILCHAR: In a tragic incident, two teenage boys were reportedly discovered hanging from a tree near a village in Assam's Cachar district on Friday night, unsettling the close-knit community.

Reports indicate that the two boys, aged 15, were found suspended from the same tree deep within the jungle near Haticherra village in Borkhola Tehsil of the district.

According to sources, the pair had entered the jungle on February 28 to gather firewood but had not been seen since then.

After an extensive search by villagers, the distressing find was made.

There are suspicions that the boys may have been murdered by unidentified individuals who then hung their bodies from the tree.
