Tripura: Two minors injured in alleged BSF firing in Sepahijala
Guwahati: Two minors from the Putia border area in Tripura's Sepahijala district, were injured in an alleged incident involving Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on Saturday, according to a senior state health official.
The children, who sustained multiple injuries, were first admitted to Bishalgarh Subdivision Hospital.
Due to the seriousness of their condition, they were later transferred to Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital for advanced treatment.
Preliminary assessments indicate that the injuries may have been caused by BSF firing, possibly from rubber bullets.
The children were reportedly involved in illegal activities near the border at the time of the incident.
While their condition is currently stable, the severity of the injuries required referral to specialized medical facilities.
The injuries showed impact marks consistent with rubber bullets but no penetration wounds.
No official statement has been issued by the BSF regarding the incident.
