Agartala: The Tripura Police have detained an individual for allegedly leaking the answer key for a recruitment examination conducted by the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

Following the leak, the TTAADC administration postponed the recruitment exams intended to fill 110 vacancies for sub-zonal development officers and deputy principal officers.

Speaking to reporters, Paritosh Das, Officer-in-Charge of the West Agartala Police Station, stated that Pradip Debbarma, a board member for the recruitment exam, filed a complaint alleging that the answer key had been leaked a day before the scheduled exam on June 9.

“The complaint implicated two individuals, Sujoy Ghosh and Chayan Saha", he said.

He added, "We registered a case and detained Chayan Saha for interrogation. Saha, who operates a Xerox shop in Advisor Chowmuhani, allegedly received the question paper and answer sheet for copying from Board Chairman Data Mohan Jamatia."

"Preliminary interrogation suggests that the leak originated from there,” Das stated.
