A Bolero vehicle (TR01F2938) was intercepted while traveling from Manu to Agartala. Following a chase, the vehicle was stopped in Chamalcharra, where a search revealed 80,000 Yaba tablets and 539 grams of brown sugar concealed within the vehicle.

Dhalai District Superintendent of Police, Avinash Rai, hailed the seizure as a major victory in the district's ongoing war against drugs under the ‘Nasha Mukt Tripura’ initiative, spearheaded by Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.

The seized contraband, estimated to be worth around Rs 2.5 crore in the international market, has been confiscated, and the arrested individual is in police custody.
