Tripura: One arrested with Yaba worth Rs 19 Crore in Agartala
Agartala: Assam Rifles on Tuesday seized 1.2 lakh Yaba tablets worth Rs 19.2 crore at Salbagan in Agartala, Tripura.
As per Assam Rifles, the operation also resulted in the apprehension of one individual and the seizure of a Bolero.

“Based on credible information, an operation was swiftly launched by Assam Rifles and the seized contrabands along with the individual and Bolero were handed over to Tripura Police for further investigation and legal proceedings”, said Assam Rifles.
It may be mentioned that Yaba is a highly addictive drug and is banned in India. It is illegal because it contains methamphetamine, a Schedule II substance under the Controlled Substances Act.

Schedule II drugs, which include cocaine and PCP, have a high potential for abuse.
Abuse of these drugs may lead to severe psychological or physical dependence.
