Tripura: NDRF rescues over 1,500 flood-hit people
Agartala: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been actively engaged in flood relief operations in Tripura since the onset of heavy rains.
As of today, over 1,500 people have been evacuated from affected areas, thanks to the tireless efforts of NDRF teams.
Eleven highly trained NDRF teams, equipped with specialized rescue equipment, have been deployed to the worst-hit areas.
These teams have been working round-the-clock to rescue individuals trapped in flooded areas and provide immediate assistance.
In addition to rescue efforts, NDRF personnel have been assisting local authorities in distributing essential relief supplies to affected people. This includes food, water, and other necessities.
"The NDRF remains committed to serving and protecting the people of Tripura during times of crisis. We will continue to provide all necessary support to those impacted by the floods," said HPS Kandari, Commandant of the 1st Battalion NDRF.
