Tripura Minister Kishor Barman joins farmers for paddy harvest in Sepahijala
Agartala: Tripura Higher Education Minister Kishor Barman participated in a paddy harvesting activity in West Durlabhnarayan village, Nalchar Assembly constituency in Sepahijala district, on Friday.
Barman, whose wedding is scheduled for November 24 in West Bengal, joined the event at the request of members of the BJP Kisan Morcha, who were conducting a three-day initiative to assist farmers with harvesting.
He worked in the field of farmer Abdur Rahman alongside local leaders, including Nalchar Panchayat Samiti chairman Swapan Kumar Das and Nalchar Mandal secretary Bimal Das.
Residents observed the Minister participating in the harvesting activity, which coincided with his ongoing preparations for the wedding.
Barman continues to attend to official duties and public engagements alongside personal commitments.
Speaking to reporters, he said the activity reminded him of his childhood experiences with paddy harvesting and that it was a brief opportunity to reconnect with such work.
Farmer Abdur Rahman and other locals acknowledged his participation.
