Tripura Congress files FIR over destruction of campaign materials

AGARTALA: Tripura Congress, on Tuesday (April 09), filed an FIR against three individuals, accused of vandalizing the party's campaign materials at Radhanagar area of Agartala city in Tripura.

In a letter addressed to the officer-in-charge of West Agartala police station, Tripura Congress president Asish Kumar Saha highlighted a serious incident that occurred at Radhanagar in Agartala city of Tripura.

According to the FIR, three individuals identified as Nantu Chandra Shil, Bhaskar Chakraborty, and Sukanta Sen, known for their notorious activities, caused significant damage to property belonging to the Congress party.

They reportedly defaced Congress flags, banners and festoons.

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Radhanagar, under the Agartala assembly constituency of Tripura.

Saha emphasized that evidence implicating their involvement can be retrieved from the CCTV footage obtained from Galaxy Marriage Hall.

He urged the authorities to promptly take action against the perpetrators by initiating an FIR and ensuring their arrest under applicable non-bailable sections of the law.
