Ex-Tripura Dy CM Jishnu Dev Varma takes oath as Telangana Governor
Agartala: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Jishnu Dev Varma, was sworn in as the Governor of Telangana at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.
The oath was administered by Telangana High Court Chief Justice Alok Aradhe.
The ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, other Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and senior officials.

Upon arriving at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad earlier in the morning, Governor Dev Varma received a warm welcome from the Telangana Chief Minister.
Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari, Director-General of Police Jitendra, and other senior officials were also present to greet him.

Recently, President Droupadi Murmu appointed nine new Governors, including Dev Varma.
He departed from Tripura for Telangana earlier today and is scheduled to fly to New Delhi this evening to attend a meeting.
