CM Manik Saha inaugurates first-ever Golf Tournament in Tripura
Guwahati: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday took part in the Golf Tournament 2025 at the Tusker BSF Golf Course, marking Tripura's first-ever golf event.
Held at the BSF Frontier Command IG Headquarters in Agartala, the tournament attracted participants from across the region and beyond.
CM Saha described the tournament as a “dream come true” for Tripura, highlighting the rarity of golf events in the Northeast and the involvement of the Tripura Golf Federation in coordinating the event.
He acknowledged that recent strike-related disruptions prevented some golfers from attending but expressed satisfaction with the strong turnout despite the challenges.
The Chief Minister underscored the government’s commitment to promoting golf and developing related infrastructure, assuring that efforts will be made to strengthen the tournament in the future.
The event is viewed as a key step for Tripura’s sports tourism and a platform to demonstrate the state’s capacity to host diverse sporting activities.
