BSF nabs 9 Bangladeshi nationals in Tripura
Agartala: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Tripura have detained nine Bangladeshi nationals, including two minors, in separate operations across the state.
On November 7, a joint operation by the BSF and Government Railway Police led to the arrest of six Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman and two transgender individuals, at Agartala Railway Station.
In a separate incident, three Bangladeshi nationals, including two minors, were apprehended by BSF troops near the Samrupara border outpost in Unakoti district while attempting to cross the international border into Bangladesh.
The BSF confirmed that all apprehended individuals are residents of Maulvibazar district in Bangladesh. The force is currently conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
The BSF has emphasized its continued vigilance along the international border to prevent infiltration and other illegal activities.
