Tripura: Man held in Agartala for human trafficking
Agartala: A man suspected of being involved in human trafficking was arrested in Agartala, Tripura on Thursday.
The accused identified as Nazmul Hossain, was arrested on charges related to human trafficking and facilitating illegal cross-border movement.
As per officials, Hossain, who resides in the Matinagar area under the Sonamura sub-division under Sepahijala district, was apprehended during a joint operation conducted by the Sonamura police and the Border Security Force (BSF).

“This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into Hossain's suspected role in facilitating the illegal entry of Bangladeshi citizens and Rohingya individuals into the state", police sources said.
Sources said that Hossain's name surfaced during inquiries into a related case previously filed at the GRP police station.

Based on the input, an investigation was launched and he was arrested.
Following his arrest, Hossain was brought before the court on Thursday, where police requested his remand to conduct further questioning.
