AGARTALA: Tripura Congress convened a strategic meeting at the state headquarters in the capital city of Agartala, presided over by state party president Asish Kumar Saha, in the presence of newly elected presidents of various blocks and organizational districts.

During the meeting, Tripura Congress chief Asish Kumar Saha emphasized the importance of planning and discussed future strategies in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

He announced that a political conference is scheduled for March 06 at Agartala Town Hall to ensure effective coordination among party organizations and grassroots workers.

Responding to queries about ongoing discussions with TIPRA and the party's participation in protests, Saha reaffirmed Congress's commitment to indigenous peoples' rights.

He criticized the BJP's failure to safeguard these rights despite being in power for a decade.

Saha expressed solidarity with ongoing protests advocating for indigenous rights, stressing that Congress stands in support of such movements.

Despite challenges, including resignations of party leaders and workers, Saha affirmed that Tripura Congress is fully prepared for the forthcoming elections.
