The insurgent group issued the ban following numerous complaints from the public and civil society organizations regarding the negative impact of these late-night activities on the community.

The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) expressed deep concern over the presence of underage individuals, including students in uniforms, at establishments engaged in "immoral activities".

The group has vowed to closely monitor such activities and has called upon all stakeholders to cooperate in addressing this issue.

In addition to the ban on late-night operations, the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has also imposed a complete ban on the sale and use of all types of firecrackers in and around Dimapur during the festive season.

This decision is motivated by the serious health hazards, environmental concerns, and noise pollution associated with firecrackers.

The group emphasized that the ban on firecrackers is particularly important to protect the health of vulnerable individuals, such as heart patients and cancer survivors, and to ensure that students preparing for final examinations are not disturbed.

The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has warned that strict action will be taken against those who violate these directives, in accordance with the Yehzabo, the group's internal code of conduct.
