Exit Poll Predictions and Alliances
Pre-election predictions strongly favoured the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Most exit polls projected a comfortable majority for the ruling bloc.
- Axis My India forecasted a tight race, giving the NDA 121–141 seats, the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) 98–118, and the JSP 0–2 seats.
- Today’s Chanakya suggested a sweeping victory for the BJP with 160 seats, while placing the RJD at 77.
- Nine other surveys released on Tuesday also estimated around 147 seats for the NDA in the 243-member Assembly.

Confidence in Both Camps
Despite the numbers, both political camps are projecting confidence. NDA leaders appear optimistic and are already celebrating based on exit poll trends. The Mahagathbandhan, however, has rejected all projections.
Jan Suraaj Party chief Prashant Kishor dismissed the exit polls as “fake,” insisting that Bihar is heading toward a “historic transformation.”

Reactions From Leaders
Political leaders from both alliances continued issuing confident statements as counting progressed.
- JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar declared that “those involved in wrongdoing will turn to ashes by the power of the people,” comparing Bihar’s future to the brightness of sunrise.
- BJP spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain echoed strong optimism, insisting that “NDA’s victory is as certain as sunrise,” crediting voter trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He dismissed Tejashwi Yadav’s oath-taking claims as routine political rhetoric.
- Tejashwi Yadav, the MGB’s chief ministerial face, stated early in the morning that “change is coming” and asserted that the alliance is “going to win.”
As the day progresses, Bihar awaits clarity on whether the NDA’s confidence or the Mahagathbandhan’s claims of change will ultimately shape the state’s future.
