Bihar Election Results 2025: Counting of votes to begin at 8 am
Guwahati: All eyes are on Bihar today as the state’s voters decide whether Nitish Kumar, the longest-serving chief minister, will secure an unprecedented fifth term, or if the government will change hands.
The two-phase elections for Bihar's 243-member assembly, held on November 6 and 11, saw a historic voter turnout of 67.13%.
The counting of votes will begin at 8 am today, with trends and results expected to emerge by 9 am. The Election Commission has set up 46 counting centres across 38 districts in Bihar to tally the votes.
The NDA coalition in Bihar is made up of five parties, with the Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contesting the majority of seats, each fielding candidates in 101 constituencies. The opposition INDIA bloc includes RJD, Congress, CPI(ML) Liberation, other Left parties, and the Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP)
