Guwahati: A couple from Guwahati, Assam, who were on their dream vacation in Malaysia went through a nightmare after falling victim to theft at the Ramada Langkawi Marina Hotel.

During a day tour by the seaside, the tourists, Kulesh Chandra Sharma and his wife left their belongings in their hotel room, only to return and find their cash stolen.

Suspecting hotel staff members, they promptly reported the incident to the local police.

Unfortunately, Malaysian authorities were unable to recover the stolen money, leaving the tourists stranded and distressed.

Despite their pleas, the hotel management and local police allegedly offered no assistance, forcing the tourists to rely on support from their family back in India to complete their trip.

Now back home, the duo has sought justice and urged both the Government of Malaysia and the Government of Assam to take swift action regarding the incident.

They demanded the government to apprehend the thieves responsible for the theft and recover their stolen money.

They also urged for implementing stringent security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
