TMC announces party’s Meghalaya election committee for Lok Sabha polls

SHILLONG: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has announced an election committee for the Northeast state of Meghalaya in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In a release issued on Thursday (March 07), the TMC said that it was “pleased to announce the Meghalaya TMC election committee for the upcoming general elections”.

The committee will be headed by Meghalaya TMC MLA and president of the party’s state unit Charles Pyngrope.

Former Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma has also been included in the committee as a member.

On the other hand Miani D Shira has been appointed as member/secretary of the panel.

The other members in the Meghalaya TMC election committee are: Rupa M Marak, Mizanur Rahman Kazi, James S Lyngdoh, Andrew Shullai, Cherak Momin and Jayanta Sen.
