Theme song for “Assam Police Sports Meet” unveiled

Guwahati: The Assam police on Friday released the theme song for the “Assam Police Sports Meet,” at the Assam police headquarters in Guwahati.

The theme song was unveiled by Assam Director General of Police (DGP) Gyanendra Pratap Singh, in the presence of Special DGP Harmeet Singh, and other senior police officers.

The theme song marks the inaugural edition of the police sports meet, being organised after almost a decade.

The theme song, aimed to be a symbol of sporting spirit, is voiced by renowned artists Zubeen Garg and Jublee Baruah.

The lyrics are crafted by Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Special Task Force (STF), Assam, Parthasarathi Mahanta, while the composition of the song is credited to Jublee Baruah.

Created to resonate with the fervour and enthusiasm of the athletes, the theme song promises to inspire the participants to push their limits and strive for excellence as well as uplift all the participants and spectators alike.

With the release of the theme song, the Assam police reaffirms its commitment to promoting unity and sportsmanship.

Spread across six different venues, the event will conclude with the athletes vying for medals in the finals set to take place from February 19 to February 21, 2024.
