Tata Motors has revamped the Nexon's pricing and variant structure to compete more effectively with the recently launched Mahindra XUV3XO (facelifted XUV300).

The Nexon petrol lineup now boasts a new base variant, "Smart (O)," priced at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks a Rs 15,000 reduction compared to the previous entry-level option.

Tata has also slashed prices for the mid-tier "Smart " and "Smart S" petrol variants by Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. The revised prices start at Rs 8.90 lakh and Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Nexon diesel receives two new variants - "Smart " and "Smart S." The "Smart " acts as the new base variant with a starting price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), bringing down the overall diesel Nexon price by Rs 1.10 lakh.

The engine options remain unchanged. The Nexon continues to offer a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine (120hp, 170Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel unit (115hp, 260Nm). Transmission choices include manual, automatic, AMT, and dual-clutch automatic options.

The Nexon retains its feature set, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, ventilated seats, sunroof, and a JBL sound system. Safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera are also present.

The revised pricing positions the Nexon competitively against the Mahindra XUV3XO, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
