New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's bail plea with be heard by the Supreme Court today in connection with his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the excise policy case.

Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26 and has been in judicial custody since then.

He was previously granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in a related case filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

However, Kejriwal's arrest was upheld by the Delhi High Court, and he remains in judicial custody until September 11.

The CBI has filed a fourth supplementary charge sheet, naming Kejriwal and five others as accused in the case.

The agency alleged that Kejriwal was a main conspirator and used kickback funds for political purposes, including routing money into the Aam Aadmi Party's funds.

The chargesheet also names several other individuals, including K Kavitha and Raghav Magunta, as co-conspirators.

Kejriwal was first arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in March and later by the CBI in June.

The Supreme Court granted him interim bail in the ED case, but he remained in jail due to his CBI arrest.
