Guwahati: Hillang Yajik from Arunachal Pradesh has been selected to represent India at the upcoming Asian and World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championships!

The news comes after a successful selection trial held by the Indian Body Builders Federation in Ernakulam, Kerala on May 11 and 12.

Yajik, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh's Kurung Kumey district, competing in the women's model physique and swimsuit women physique categories, will vie for honours at the 56th Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship slated for August 6 to 12 in Batam, Indonesia.

Later, she will compete at the 15th WBPF World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship in the Maldives from November 5 to 11.

This selection comes close on the heels of Yajik's impressive performance at the 13th Federation Cup held in Goa this April, where she secured a silver medal in the women's sports physique category.

The Arunachal Bodybuilding Association's acting general secretary, Yanu Kipa, expressed his delight at Yajik's achievement and wished her the very best in the upcoming international competitions.
