Sikkim Krantikari Morcha expels three leaders for anti-party activities
Guwahati: The Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) has expelled three of its prominent leaders, including a former minister and an ex-advisor, due to their alleged involvement in anti-party activities.
The expulsion orders, issued on June 3 by the party's general secretary Pawan Gurung under the directives of SKM president Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), named Karma Loday Bhutia, Durga Prasad Pradhan, and Avinash Yakha.

Karma Loday Bhutia, the former Vice-President in charge of the Culture Wing and a former minister, Durga Prasad Pradhan, an ex-advisor and District Level Vice-President of the Chalak Morcha in Geyzing District, and Avinash Yakha, the General Secretary of Press & Media for the Youth Wing, have been stripped of their primary membership and all party positions.

The expulsion memo states that the actions against these leaders are effective immediately from June 3, 2024, rendering their membership and posts within the party 'null and void.'
It may be mentioned that the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) won a second consecutive term by a landslide victory, winning 31 seats in the 32-member assembly on June 2, 2024.
