Applications are invited for recruitment of various project based positions or jobs in CAU Sikkim.

Central Agricultural University (CAU) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or jobs of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the project entitled "All India Coordinated Research Project on Mechanization of Animal Husbandry (AICRP on MAH)." Assam Agricultural University is the first institution of its kind in the whole of North-Eastern Region of India. The main goal of this institution is to produce globally competitive human resources in farm sector and also to carry out research in both conventional and frontier areas for production optimization as well as to disseminate the generated technologies as public good for benefitting the food growers/produces and traders involved in the sector while emphasizing on sustainability, equity and overall food security at household level. Assam Agricultural University was altogether established on April 1, 1969 under The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968. The university has six Regional Agricultural Research Stations in each agricultural zone of Assam at Titabar – Upper Brahmaputra Valley Zone, North Lakhimpur – North Bank Plain Zone, Shillongoni – Central Brahmaputra Valley Zone, Diphu – Hill Zone, Gossaigaon – Lower Brahmaputra Valley Zone,Karimganj – Barak Valley Zone. The university also has four Commodity Research Stations at Citrus Research Station, Tinsukia, Sugarcane Research Station, Buralikson, Horticulture Research Station, Kahikuchi, Goat Research Station, Burnihut

Qualification :

Essential : Master in Livestock Production & Management/Farm Machinery & Power Engineering.

Desirable :

Knowledge on recording and collection of data on livestock and poultry, knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms and training online and computer skills (MS Word, Excel,
Power Point Date Base Management, Use of various statistical analysis software /CAD software, Word Processing in Hindi & English etc), scientific report writing, communication skills in Hindi and English, Field visit and online training for farmers, Management of Farmer's Social Media groups

Age Limit :

The upper age limit is 35 years for men and 40 years for women altogether

Relaxation is as per GOI rules
