Sikkim CM visits flood-hit Majuwa village, assures support to affected families

GANGTOK: Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay visited Majuwa village in Yangang in South Sikkim, following a devastating flash flood that claimed three lives and damaged over ten houses in the area.

During his visit, Sikkim CM PS Tamang-Golay met with the affected families, offering assurances of government assistance and rehabilitation support.

He reiterated the administration's dedication to providing comprehensive aid to help the villagers recover and rebuild.

In another recent disaster, a massive landslide struck Gauthaley in Samdong, Tumin Lingee constituency, causing extensive damage.

The landslide destroyed paddy fields, the main footpath, and all water supply systems, leaving the community facing significant infrastructure losses and daily life disruptions.
