“The government has set specific office hours, and it is expected that employees adhere to these timings to dedicate their time to public service,” said the DM in a press conference.

“Our goal is to maintain punctuality and ensure that public services are delivered efficiently, so the public does not face any inconvenience.”

The show cause notices were issued to employees in various offices, including the District Magistrate’s Office, Sub-divisional Magistrate’s Office, and the office of the Block Development Officer.

Jaiswal noted that despite the implementation of a biometric attendance system, some employees were consistently arriving late.

“We observed that some employees were not adhering to the set timings, prompting us to issue show cause notices to 39 employees. This measure is intended to reinforce the importance of punctuality and proper job performance. We have received some responses to the notices and are taking appropriate steps based on those replies,” he added.

The administration’s initiative underscores its commitment to improving public service efficiency and ensuring that government employees meet their responsibilities diligently.
