Senior Sikkim politician Biraj Adhikari passes away

GANGTOK: Biraj Adhikari, a senior figure in Sikkim politics and former spokesperson of the Hamro Sikkim Party (HSP), breathed his last at the Central Referral Hospital (Manipal) on Thursday (March 07).

Adhikari, aged 63, had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since February.

Sikkim CM Conveys Condolences

Sikkim chief minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay expressed deep sorrow over Adhikari's demise, offering his heartfelt condolences.

In a condolence message, the Sikkim chief minister expressed, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Biraj Adhikari this morning at Central Referral Hospital-SMIMS, Tadong after a prolonged illness.”
