Major reshuffle in Assam police department, full list here

GUWAHATI: A significant reorganization has taken place within the Assam police department aimed at improving administrative efficiency and enhancing public service.

The Assam government has implemented a series of transfers and postings across the state's police force as part of this initiative.

OFFICERS TRANSFERRED

1) Goalpara SP Veera Venkata Rakesh Reddy (IPS) has been transferred and posted as Dibrugarh SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Shwetank Mishra (IPS).

2) Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra (IPS) has been transferred and posted as Jorhat SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Mohan Lal Meena (IPS).

3) Jorhat SP Mohan Lal Meena (IPS) has been transferred and posted as Bongaigaon SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Swapnaneel Deka (APS).

4) Tamulpur SP Pankaj Yadav (IPS) has been transferred and posted as Barpeta SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Amitava Sinha (APS).

5) Guwahati (East) DCP Akshat Garg (IPS) has been transferred and posted as superintendent of railway police, Pandu in Guwahati with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.

6) Nalbari additional SP (Crime) Dinesh Kumar (IPS) has been allowed to hold charge post in the rank of SP/Commandant/DCP/AIGP and is transferred and posted as Commandant of 5^th Assam police battalion at Sontila in Dima Hasao with effect from the date of taking over charge from Lamhao Doungel (APS).

7) Commandant of 16^th Assam police battalion Arnab Deka (APS) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the 17^th Assam police battalion in Goalpara with effect from the date of taking over charge from Jayshree Khersa (APS).

8) Commandant of 17^th Assam police battalion Jayshree Khersa (APS) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the 28^th Assam police battalion with effect from the date of taking over charge from Dharmendra Kr Das (APS).

9) Dhemaji SP Ranjan Bhuyan (APS) has been transferred and posted as Kamrup SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Hitesh Ch Ray (APS).

10) Bongaigaon SP Swapnaneel Deka (APS) has been transferred and posted as Goalpara SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Veera Venkata Rakesh Reddy (IPS).

11) Commandant of the 1^st Assam Commando battalion deployed at Mandakata in North Guwahati Diganta Kr Choudhury (APS) has been transferred and posted as Tamulpur SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Pankaj Yadav (IPS).

12) Barpeta SP Amitava Sinha (APS) has been transferred and posted as assistant inspector general of police (administration) with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.

13) Kamrup SP Hitesh Ch Ray (APS) has been transferred and posted as Dhemaji SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Ranjan Bhuyan (APS).

14) Commandant of the 28^th Assam police battalion Dharmendra Kr Das (APS) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the 14^th Assam police battalion with effect from the date of taking over charge from Anjan Pandit (APS).

15) Commandant of the 5^th Assam police battalion Lamhao Doungel (APS) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the 1^st Assam Commando battalion with effect from the date of taking over charge from Diganta Kr Choudhury (APS).

16) Commandant of the 7^th Assam police battalion Jagadish Das (APS) has been transferred and posted as Sadiya SP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Mrinal Deka (APS).

17) Sadiya SP Mrinal Deka (APS) has been transferred and posted as Guwahati (East) DCP with effect from the date of taking over charge from Akshat Garg (IPS).

18) Commandant of the 14^th Assam police battalion Anjan Pandit (APS) has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the 7^th Assam police battalion with effect from the date of taking over charge from Jagadish Das (APS).

19) Lakhimpur additional SP Munindra Nath Deuri (APS) has been allowed to hold charge post in the rank of SP/Commandant/DCP/AIGP and is transferred and posted as Assam CID SP (Law) with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.

20) Dibrugarh additional SP Papori Chetia (APS) has been allowed to hold charge post in the rank of SP/Commandant/DCP/AIGP and is transferred and posted as Principal of the Lachit Barphukan police academy at Dergaon with effect from the date of taking over charge against existing vacancy.
